PoCoMo Youth Services Society

I met Jerome Bouvier, Director of Pocomo Youth Services Society in the summer of 2008. I like their initiatives and believe that they are the perfect charity to start out our Fundraising program with. Here is a bit more about their organization.

"PoCoMo is an AWARD WINNING, independent, progressive and innovative community based registered charity established in 1992. As a grass-roots organization, our mandate includes the development and delivery of innovative programs and services for youth ages 12-18 who may be disadvantaged, marginalized, or at-risk. We create opportunities for youth to reach their full potential building on their assets and inner strength.

PoCoMo recognizes the importance of relationships-based programming for youth. PoCoMo programs work from a relationship-based focus rather than an issue-based focus. We endeavor to create a supportive and consistent presence with youth, establishes relationships, trust, and community connection that:

• Reduce vandalism, violence, gang involvement, drug abuse, homelessness, and sexual exploitation
• Increase empathy, community connection, sense of belonging and self-esteem
• Improve the safety and quality of life of ‘at risk’ youth who are street involved
• Reconnect youth with community & resources. "

As with all our fundraising partners, we would like to make a clock for you with your favourite photo, company logo, or basically whatever you want. Remember, with Anything on a Clock, the possibilities are endless. The cost of the clocks are $69.95 plus taxes and shipping. We then donate $10.00 from each sale to the PoCoMo Youth Services Society.
