Greater Vancouver Food Bank

Nourishing Your Community

Christmas is coming. For most of us, this means Santa Clause, family, gifts, and Christmas dinner. But for many, this is just another day of going hungry. At Anything on a Clock we donate part proceeds of every clock sold in the month of November.

Ever since our son was a baby, we would take him to the Breakfast Television's Food Bank Friday at City TV in Vancouver. When we started Anything on a Clock, we would not only make a personal donation (made by Nathan), but we also made a donation from our business.

Last year we started to take a portion of our November sales and donate them to Food Bank Friday. This is a tradition that we intend on continuing.

In the month of November, part proceeds of every clock that we sell will be donated to the
Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. In addition, anyone who inquires about getting a clock using the email address gvfbs@anythingonaclock We will give them an additional 15% of your order.

The following information was taken directly from their web site.

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society (GVFBS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food and related assistance to those in need. The GVFBS collects and distributes food to over 25‚000 people weekly through 15 food depots and over 100 community agencies located in Vancouver‚ Burnaby‚ New Westminster and the North Shore.

The GVFBS does not receive any government funding and relies solely on the generosity of individuals and organizations willing to donate funds‚ food and time.

Tod’s Story

“I have great kids, my son is a good student and my daughter is 15 going on 21! I am rich with the love of my kids. Unfortunately, my severe asthma prevents me from working a regular job to support us. There are many weeks where the Food Bank helps to ensure the three of us aren’t just sharing one can of soup. I have been so grateful for the help they provide.”
